Welcome!

Welcome to my view from down here! The view of a slightly shy and yet stunningly overenthusiastic 18 year old who is about to take on the world head on... Hopefully... 

In just over a month, post the HSC horrors, I will be adventuring overseas for an entire year, leaving behind my family, my friends and most importantly my beloved trampoline (I'll elaborate later, promise), in the search for a Great Adventure. 

For many, this is a daunting experience, leaving the safety of home and everything you know, and I would be stupid to say I'm not frightened (which I am by the way, I'm utterly terrified), but for me, this gap year is not only the trip of a lifetime, but a second chance. Because in one month and one day I will be able to completely reinvent myself, something I am both excited and nervous to do so. 

So what is this then? This blog page that so far I have been rambling away on? This wonderful collection of letters, spaces and probably badly used punctuation, is the gateway to a glimpse into my new world and my attempts to both "find myself" as they like to say, and at the same time reinvent myself. On it will be a collection of my musings, from reviews of hostels, books and life in general to travel tips and everything in between, as I hope to tackle this world, from my view down here, head on with all the bravery and courage that I can muster... Which right now, is not much at all...
